This church is a barroque church from the XV century located close to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.  This is historic site the priest Jose Maria Hidalgo took an image of the Virgen Mary from the church as a symbol to start the Independence fight from the Spaniards.

The church boveda is full of paintings of saints with Indian faces.  This is compared to the 6th chapel of  the Vatican this is the Mexican version of  it.

This is place is a Sanctuary and each with up to 5000 people come to the catholic retreats.

I  painted this place because it gave peace and calm while I was living in San Miugel de Allende studying art there.
